The Loire Valley Vineyard's first off-road wine tour is brought to you this year by La Grande Maison. Discover the vineyards & hidden wineries of the Loire region with an experienced bi-lingual wine guide in our 4x4 Land Rover Defender.
We go off-road and onto the trails and tracks through the vines. Along the way we discover the viticulture of the area, learn about grape varieties and the difference between organic, biodynamic and natural wines.
We stop off at some of the best wineries, meet the winemakers and taste the wines. There is even an opportunity to buy the wines at cellar door prices.
Ready for lunch and we simply pull over and set up our legendary vineyard picnic in the vines, a cork screw always on hand to open a chilled bottle of Saumur Blanc or Saumur Champigny.

The Wild Vines Wine Safari includes a full days wine
tasting and off road wine touring in the vineyards around Saumur - Le
Puy Notre Dame, stopping off to visit 2-3 wineries during the day.
The Wild Vines Wine and Boat Safari incorporates a 1/2 day off road wine tour, vineyard picnic and then a fabulous sail on the Loire aboard a traditional wooden boat in the afternoon.
